It’s that time of year when moms need to start thinking about summer plans. Any experienced mom knows that to stay sane during summer break, you need to put those kiddos in camp! We understand how frustrating it can be with so many options, so we’ve put together our sixth annual Summer Camp Guide. We hope this guide provides the information you need to plan a fun and stress-free summer. This guide features programming options in Westchester County and surrounding areas. YOUNG JUDAEA SPROUT WESTCHESTER DAY CAMP

Young Judaea Sprout Westchester Day Camp
Welcome to Sprout Westchester, where young hearts soar in a vibrant Young Judaea Day Camp! The camp, located in Croton on Hudson, is open to Pre-K through 6th graders. Experience the warmth of Jewish traditions, the magic of new friendships, and the excitement of personal growth. THE CHAPEL SCHOOL SUMMER PROGRAM

The Chapel School

The Chapel School (TCS) Summer Program provides fun and enrichment for children ages 3-12 in a safe, accredited school building with seasoned instructors and programming. The TCS Summer Program offers flexible scheduling for families, wherein they can sign up for one week or all nine weeks, with early drop-off and late pick-up as needed. Care Bear AM Campers (Ages 3-6) enjoy theme-based crafts and activities, along with fun outdoor play, and Care Bear PM Campers can choose from an array of specialized enrichment activities (art, sports, cooking, etc.). Explorer Program Campers (Ages 6-12) can sign up for mornings, afternoons, and full days of STEM, sports, music, drama, day trip adventures, and more! Lunch is provided for campers who sign up for full days.

CAMP KIPPEWA POINT

Camp Kippewa Point

Kippewa Point is the traditional, two-week camp experience for girls ages 6-14! Their warm and nurturing environment offers girls a classic camp experience with a set beginning, middle, and end. Hiking and camping opportunities, exciting special events, and an all-camp trip to the beach round out the two weeks to ensure campers experience Maine’s beauty during their time at camp!

Purchase Day Camp, the premiere Westchester summer day camp, offers a wide variety of broad-based programming with flexible enrollment for ages 3-15. Enroll for as few as three weeks and as many as eight; weeks do not have to be consecutive. Heated pools and towel service for free and instructional swim following the American Red Cross Learn to Swim Program. There are weekly special events and weekly trips for campers in 6th grade and up. Three program options are available. BRONX ZOO

Your next summer adventure is waiting at the Bronx Zoo! From toddlers to teens, there’s something for explorers of all ages. Discover a day camp unlike any other with animal encounters, hands-on learning, and fun ways to engage the world around us. At the Wildlife Conservation Society, they stand for wildlife, and you can too! Join them this summer for fun, inspiring programming across all their parks in New York City: the Bronx Zoo, Central Park Zoo, Queens Zoo, and the New York Aquarium.

CLUB FIT

Club Fit
Club Fit campers build friendships while engaging in a multitude of developmentally aligned activities. They have a great indoor-outdoor facility that accommodates inclement weather and those very hot, humid days. The camp schedule includes but is not limited to activities such as soccer, basketball, football, four square, tennis, and arts and crafts. They incorporate fun activities such as inflatables, the gaga pit, tie-dye days, and special theme days to make every day different and exciting. Everyone will be offered daily swim, and lunch is included for full-day campers!

UMAC ARDSLEY

UMAC Ardlsey
UMAC Ardsley is a taekwondo martial arts studio located in Ardsley, New York. Their programs strongly focus on martial arts values, such as Respect, Self Control, Integrity, Positive Attitude, and Perseverance. Join them for summer camp (8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.) for an unforgettable experience! You can register for just one week or up to all seven weeks! A $50 deposit will lock in your weekly rate. You can choose weeks later, and the final payment is due at the beginning of June. They do allow for last-minute registrations throughout the summer as well. They also offer an after-camp martial arts option until 6:00 p.m. If needed, they will pick up your child at their day camp dismissal and bring them to the UMAC facility.

CAMP KINDER RING

CAMP PINEBROOK

Camp Pinebrook is an intimate community in Westchester, NY, where children make new friends, develop life skills, and have fun in a nurturing environment infused with Jewish values for campers ages three to 6th grade. This also includes options for older tweens/teens (7th – 9th grades) called “On The Rise” or CIT/Counselor in Training (10th grade). Camp Pinebrook is a special place where campers are encouraged to play, create, and explore in a loving, nurturing, and compassionate environment. Summer 2024 runs from June 27th to August 22nd. Camp Pinebrook’s exciting variety of age-appropriate daily sports, arts, science, and nature activities are designed to be non-competitive and inclusive to all. Their Red Cross swim program taught in their state-of-the-art heated pool complex, teaches campers confidence and safety in the water. Weekly special events further instill Pinebrook’s whimsical culture of fun and silliness. KING SCHOOL

King School
Make this summer a time to discover new skills, explore new subjects, and have fun. Register your child today for Summer Institute (SI) at King, where Kindergarten-Grade 12 are taught in small classes by King’s outstanding teachers and coaches. Middle and high school classes allow students to pursue their academic passions and accelerate their progress in the next academic year. Academic courses are offered in math, science, computer science, performing arts, visual arts, global studies, and more. Many courses earn students academic credit. Classes vary from three weeks to six weeks. Fun Camp is a STEAM-based camp that allows younger students, Kindergarten-Grade 5, to grow and learn while keeping each age group’s physical, emotional, and intellectual needs in mind. The Harvey School

Harvey Summer Camp offers various programs, allowing your children to choose from many options on one sprawling campus featuring open fields, wooded trails, state-of-the-art facilities, an outdoor swimming pool, and an indoor ice rink! Day Camp for Grades 2-8: Campers will enjoy activities in the arts, sports, science, and theater, as well as games and camp-wide events. The wide variety of offerings allows campers to explore different interests while introducing them to new activities. Rising 1st graders and 9th graders: Campers entering first grade in September can enjoy a program of fun and exploration designed just for them! Young teens entering high school this fall will enjoy a program created to let them have a summer of fun before the rigors of high school begin. Harvey’s youngest and oldest campers will surely enjoy a summer to remember! Art Camp, Sports Camp: Campers entering Grades 5-8 can take a more in-depth approach to explore their interests in the arts or sports! Circus Arts, Robotics, Basketball, Volleyball, and Coding Camps: See their website for information and dates particular to these specialty programs. Camps run from July 1 through August 9, 2024, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. They are closed on July 4 & 5.

EUGENE'S MUSIC & LEARNING STUDIO

Preschool is out, and it’s time for Intro to Orchestra Camp! Join Eugene’s Music & Learning Studio for art, dance, and music. Your child will spend the week crafting musical instruments, dancing with partners and in groups, and meeting the instruments of the orchestra. Each week will feature a different theme! Please bring a light snack (crackers, goldfish, water); they will take a short break each day. For children ages 3-6 years (fully potty-trained), the camp runs from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Opportunities to meet private-lesson teachers will be available. Registration is by week! Campers can join for one or two weeks.
