Prenatal and Women’s Yoga is open to women at all stages of life but is taught in a safe and supportive way to women at any stage of pregnancy.
This class emphasizes the connection between the body and the mind. It’s essentially meditation in motion using breath, focus, and movement to cultivate a more peaceful mind as well as a healthier body. The poses offered are accessible and simple and are intended to strengthen and lengthen the body. You will be invited to work at your own pace, either slowing down or speeding up the movements to your liking. As we work through the physical poses, we will also consider how the skills we cultivate on the mat can be incorporated into our day-to-day life to relieve stress, develop better relationships, and live a happy and peaceful life.
