Fight Hunger and Build Community

Invisible Hands is a community of volunteers providing free delivery of food, medicine, and other essentials to those most in need. In particular, we deliver to those experiencing food insecurity and the elderly, sick, homebound, and people with disabilities. Born in New York at the beginning of COVID, we have united thousands of volunteers all across the city to help their neighbors in need. We are committed to fighting food insecurity, a crisis exacerbated by the pandemic.A woman delivering groceries.

Nearly 75% of those experiencing food insecurity don’t go to food pantries due to logistical challenges, scheduling issues, and social stigma. To help solve this problem, we provide safe, efficient, anonymous deliveries to prioritize our community’s health, dignity, and time.

Invisible Hands’ work is driven entirely by committed individuals just like you. You can fight hunger and build community. You can make a difference.

By volunteering with Invisible Hands, you help fight food insecurity one person at a time by delivering food directly from pantries to someone in need. At the same time, you develop relationships with your fellow volunteers and the people you serve. With just a car and a few hours, you can pick up food from a pantry and deliver that food to 4-5 homes in true need of food and support.A man driving a car full of groceries.

Invisible Hands reimburses volunteers for gas and has a team of committed staff who help guide each delivery. With set weekly schedules, you can volunteer once, weekly, monthly, or however works for you. You can volunteer by yourself, with family, friends, or as a group and fight hunger.
