Bartaco Port Chester has recently announced that they will be extending High Tide, which is their version of Happy Hour!
In our quest to find a variety of Westchester’s best local spots, this location was definitely on our radar. The issue that I have found with Happy Hour is that the window of opportunity is usually so small. More often than not, I make it in time to end up paying full price for drinks, that five minutes before, were offered at a fraction of the cost!
Bartaco Port Chester will now be serving its delicious and affordable craft cocktails from 3-6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and Sunday through Thursday from 9:30 p.m. until close. With hours like these, actually catching a Happy Hour deal can be a reality rather than a dream!

I actually had the pleasure of tasting an exciting new cocktail that has just been added to the menu, called the Sanguina! This drink features hibiscus-infused tequila, blood orange, lime, and ginger agave syrup. My go-to drink is usually a margarita on the rocks. The Sanguina definitely won me over. I would make my way to Bar Taco Port Chester’s high tide just for this perfectly balanced combination of sweet and sour!
While the high tide drinks are definitely delicious, you need to know that the food is excellent as well.
While I have often referred to myself as a “foodie” due to the joy that I find in good home-cooked meals and fine dining, I am a super picky eater. I love almost anything seafood, which is not as common as I would like to find while looking for quick small plates on the menu at your typical Happy Hour spots. Needless to say, Bartaco made my day with their selection of different fish tacos and shrimp. My friend enjoyed some chicken empanadas and carne asada.
Another great thing about their menu is the option to order a la carte! I was able to order one of each with the option to order more of what I liked after figuring out just what that was. As if this wasn’t enough to make High Tide truly a Happy Hour, our food was out so fast that I hadn’t even made my way through the appetizer. These may seem like small details, but to a wife and mother of three, getting in and out quickly and efficiently is a necessity when choosing where to meet up with friends for a drink and some good food while hoping to pay a quick game of catch up!
My girlfriend and I were seated next to an adorable family with three small children, who must have been regulars because they all knew what they wanted without taking a peek at the kid-friendly menu. Apparently, I had been living under a rock, and everyone who likes the pictures that I posted of my incredible drinks and food chimed in to mention how shocked they were that I had never visited Bartaco before and how much they loved this location. It may have been my first time, but it will surely not be my last!
It is rare to find a restaurant that truly has something for everyone. I was pleasantly surprised to see with my own eyes that Bartaco Port Chester is, in fact, one of those hidden gems.
