Located at 65 Main Street in Nyack, New York in Rockland County, Sixty5 On Main kindly welcomed a few of us from the Westchester County Moms Blog team in for brunch last weekend. We had a feeling that we’d be in for a good meal and a great experience – especially after skimming the menu online!

The maitre’d welcomed us in and brought us over to a table that offered a view overlooking the outside deck of the restaurant and beyond that, a scenic view of the Hudson. The view actually gives a little bit of a vacation vibe.

The Food

Sixty5 on Main’s brunch menu offers a nice variety to choose from. There are egg entrees ranging from standard classic scrambled to skirt steak and eggs, some salad entrée options, as well as a variety of main courses. Everything sounded so tasty. It was honestly a little tough for us to each decide!

99% of the time when I go out for brunch, I opt for some sort of egg entrée, but the Cured Salmon Platter caught my attention. Leah went for comfort food with French Toast and a side of sausage, and Joni ordered a frittata. The staff easily accommodated minor changes based on dietary needs.

The meals were all presented nicely and the portions were perfectly sized for a perfect brunch meal. The food was certainly fresh too and I really enjoyed my meal. The salmon tasted great and I loved the pickled onions. My meal was supposed to come with a bagel and cream cheese. It was a bit of a bummer that they were out of bagels (one of the most popular breakfast options!), but they offered other options. Leah thought the French Toast was tasty and Joni’s frittata plate really was enough to feed us all!

And these unlimited Mimosas (or Bloody Marys) for a generous price certainly added to our Sunday brunch experience!

The Atmosphere

As soon as you walk into Sixty5 on Main you cannot help but notice the atmosphere and design. The space is fantastic and the layout seems so original and eclectic. The restaurant has three dining areas – the “Library,” the “Cave,” and the main dining room, bar & lounge. The rooms are beautifully decorated and spacious. In addition, there are two outside decks.

We ate in the main dining room, which definitely had a rustic feel. It is quite homey and welcoming with tons of stylish accent pieces and beautiful wood furnishings. And the bar is gorgeous!

While we were there, there was a private party in the “Library.” I think we’ve all been to restaurants as patrons when there’s a private party as well. Sometimes you feel as is the party “overtakes” the restaurant and it inhibits the dining experience. The place gets too crowded and you feel a little ignored. At Sixty5 on Main it wasn’t like this at all! This party room was off to the side, and while it was also an open space and you knew there was a party going on, it felt separate enough that it no way had any impact on our experience or service.

Nestled by the Hudson River, Sixty5 on Main specializes in hosting your special occasion in one of their beautifully decorated and spacious private rooms. It’s an awesome space for private events like family celebrations, such as communions, graduations, retirements or milestone birthdays, but also for smaller companies to hold a holiday party or even a team outing.

You can enjoy scenic views of the Hudson River when you dine outside on their balcony for dinner and happy hour Thursday through Sunday. It’s never a bad thing to be able to enjoy scenic views of the Hudson River during any gathering!

“Make it Your Moment”

Sixty5 on Main shared that “Make It Your Moment” is their mission. As there are many different environments within the restaurant to enjoy, it’s quite evident that they’ve met this goal quite well. You choose the environment that is right for you depending upon your preferences and likes. They are happy to host any kind of party from extravagant weddings and engagement dinners to intimate gatherings and work events.

While we didn’t experience this first hand, we were informed that weekends feature live performances by local bands ranging anywhere from jazz & blues to classic rock & modern contemporary music.

We had a lovely experience and a great meal at Sixty5 on Main! We can’t wait to go back!
