Mummy's Night Out

I don’t know about you, but some pampering and self-care has been long overdue for me! This spectacular event could not have come at a more perfect time because this mama was surely starting to look like a mummy in dire need of a night out!

When I heard that the location was going to be at the drybar in White Plains, I knew that no matter what, I needed to be there! Who could turn down an opportunity to get a professional blowout or dry style, a relaxing massage, sample make up, enjoy light bites and delicious desserts, all while mixing and mingling with other local ladies? I had been looking forward to this for weeks and this night out exceeded all of my expectations.

The drybar is literally walking distance from my home; which I had never realized, but I am surely grateful to know now. When we arrived, we were greeted by smiling faces who were eager to help get us checked in and jump right into the festivities! I had just enough time to spot a few familiar faces in the crowd, set my eyes on some tasty treats, grab a glass of wine, and before I could blink, I was being escorted over to receive my hair service!

My stylist Anthony was awesome from beginning to end. I loved the fact that he checked with me to make sure that I was comfortable with the products that he was using and explained what they were for. After a couple of minutes, I felt like he was an old friend I was catching up with and I knew my hair was in good hands. We shared some laughs, and again before I knew it my 80’s style aerobics ponytail had been transformed into a sleek, shiny, flowing in the wind blowout!

The services were performed quickly but efficiently; my hair has never been straightened so beautifully in such a short amount of time! drybar prides themselves on focusing on one thing and being the best at it. Based on my experience, they have every right to be proud!

I would be remiss if I did not mention how much I loved the entire set up of this salon. From the vibrant yellow blow dryers, to the actual menus with pictures that explain what each hair style consisted of. The floral arrangements provided by Lucille’s Floral Fishkill were beautiful; and complimented by the elegant vases and trays courtesy of  Little Vintage Rentals. The ambiance was truly captivating.

After my hair was finished, I headed over to check out the lovely light bites prepared by North 40 Catering by Abby Zambrano, who made sure there was a little something for everyone to enjoy. The desserts were to die for! MAD Donuts and Baked to Perfection knew the trick to make sure that no one left without a treat!

Each guest also had the opportunity to experience massages from Elements Massage and a chance to sample safer beauty from local Beautycounter consultant, Jackie Alleva. Now that is what I call a one-stop shop to meet your self-care needs!

What better way to end the perfect Mummy’s Night Out than with a swag bag filled with goodies! I mean serious incentive to keep coming back. The best drybar product samples, discounts from multiple vendors, actual treats, you name it and this swag bag had it!

My sister and I both had a blast. It was the perfect amount of time away and I was so glad that I was able to be there. It was a little bit of everything this mama needed. Some glam, good eats, and a few laughs with some new friends.

I was so impressed with how perfectly executed this event was. I mean every aspect from the time management to the visual setup.  If you are planning a special event and could use a hand getting it organized, I suggest you Just Call Dana! This premier full-service event planning company does not disappoint.

And a HUGE thank you to Melinda Anita Photography for the gorgeous photos documenting the whole night! To view a full recap check out this slideshow:
