Why Oasis Day Camp Is the Best Camp for Your Child

0

Above all else, Oasis is about making sure every child has a great time at our camp while being physically and emotionally safe. Through everything we do we instill and role model a sense of community, friendship, bonds, teamwork, confidence, and a sense of belonging. When your kids come home dirty and exhausted and can’t wait to come back, we’ve done our job and at a surprisingly affordable price!

Location

Our Mercy College location features a beautiful campus with athletic facilities, tennis courts, fields, and grassy and shady spots right on the Hudson River. We have exclusive use of a fully remodeled outdoor pool, all ours, all day! Swim is instructional and recreational three times a week.

Campers have varied activities such as sports (basketball, soccer, tennis, baseball, capture the flag, martial arts), arts, nature, dance, enrichment, etc. There are several choice activities in the afternoons and children can select what they are passionate about doing -sports, arts, nature/outdoor adventure – really any activity they wish to participate in.

Programming for Various Ages and Stages of Children

Early Start Imagination Camp 3-5 years old {each age has its own group}.

Our Early Start Imagination Camp is specially tailored for our youngest campers with their needs and abilities in mind. We take pride in offering sports, art, enrichment, outdoor adventure and nature activities, swim, dance, music, and all that camp offers tailored for 3, 4, and 5-year-olds. Our staff is specially selected for their experience and nurturing approach to the pre-school campers.

Lower Camp: Entering 1st grade in the fall.

Special attention is paid to ensure that activities and instruction are developmentally appropriate for the varied ages of our campers going into the 1st grade.

Our program combines exposure to a variety of activities and structure through which campers enjoy their surroundings, build friendships, and learn to step out of their comfort zone to learn new things. Activities include sports, arts, nature, science, martial arts, music, dance, and more.

Upper Camp: Entering 2nd grade to 6th grade in the fall.

For campers going into second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth grades the Oasis Day Camp experience is tailored to meet their maturing tastes. Age-appropriate programming includes Athletics, Performing Arts, Creative Arts, Outdoor Adventure, Enrichment, and Swim.
Campers will have the ability to self-select “Choice Time” activities: elective-based programming from a daily/weekly menu of options.

Our 5th graders and 6th graders may choose to do a combination of travel twice a week and on camp activities, this is our Junior Travel Program.

Teen Travel: entering 7th grade to entering 9th grade in the fall.

This allows teens to take unique trips while forming lifelong friendships. Choose what interests YOU most! Trips are organized around a weekly theme, allowing teens to choose what interests them the most. Teen Travelers embark on outbound trips each to a myriad of exciting locations: theme parks, interactive exhibits, Broadway shows, sporting events, and more!
