The thought of making dinner every night can cause so much stress. It’s so great to know that Sedona Taphouse in Mamaroneck is the perfect spot to go for a weeknight family dinner, a date night with your love, or to meet up with some girlfriends and enjoy some kid-free company. The Westchester County Moms Blog contributor team recently got together for a much needed moms’ night out!
At Sedona Taphouse they strive for craft, community and hospitality! They are serving fine craft beer and wine lovers alike in a warm, natural and sophisticated environment. They work diligently to bring you the best in local and international craft beer, interesting wines and creative handcrafted martinis.
We were greeted with an assortment of their delicious cocktails made by their knowledgeable and talented bartender. Not only did each drink look beautiful, but they were absolutely delicious. My favorite was the Skinny Girl Tangerine Pom Spitzer, but I loved that they have a flight of four different margaritas to try! A special bourbon shot was made just for us…moms are allowed to have something sweet before dinner!
Next we were on to the appetizers. Have you ever gone out to eat and wanted to order everything on the menu? Well we have and we did! We sampled everything from their Spicy Thai Shrimp with a tasty kick to Sliders (salmon, crab cake or Austrailian “Kobe beef”) to Flatbreads (goat cheese and basil, BBQ chicken or Margaritas) to handcrafted guacamole. It was hard to pick a favorite!
At Sedona Taphouse they want guests to experience the quality in everything they do. They offer Braveheart Choice Black Angus Beef and fresh seafood delivered and cut daily. The ingredients are local and organic whenever possible with numerous gluten free offerings. The menu changes throughout the year to encompass seasonality and to take advantage of ingredients at peak times and daily chef specials are offered.
Then on to the entrees! We sampled the Chuckawalla Chicken topped with melted goat cheese, sun dried tomatoes and a citrus garlic sauce over the best mashed potatoes. The Palo Verde Salmon had a similar sauce and was even more delicious! The Short Rib Pappardelle was definitely the top pick of the night! But the beet and goat cheese salad is also a must-try. Those candied pecans…yum! Whether or not you like meat, seafood or like to stick with just veggies, they have something for everyone.
And if the night couldn’t get any sweeter, we were delighted with three of their top desserts. The warm brownie sundae with vanilla gelato and whipped cream was the best. It was soft and fudgey (not too rich), with a nice crusty chocolate ganache. A total diet buster, but worth every bite.The Cookie Monster was also out of this world and was perfect for sharing, but you might want to order the Coconut Pie for yourself!
Sedona Taphouse also features brunch every Sunday from 11:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., live music every Friday and Saturday night, and Crab & Shrimp Imperial Topped Grilled Lobster for only $14.90 (normally $26) every Wednesday night!
