Thank you to our sponsors for helping us to create this wonderful resource for postpartum Westchester area moms.
“Making the decision to have a child—it’s momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking outside your body.”
Whether you’re a new mom for the first or fifth time, the weeks and months after you bring home your baby can be a whirlwind of excitement, joy, exhaustion, tears, smiles, laughs, and many more emotions. There are tons of wonderful options in the Westchester area to help new mamas adjust to life with a baby. Here are some of the best postpartum resources available in our area.
Jodi Trager is a licensed clinical social worker who specializes in maternal mental health. Her practice focuses on postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety, infertility, miscarriage/other child loss and support in the transition to parenthood including but not limited to marital. Parent coaching is also offered to parents of young and older children. Jodi believes that women and mothers deserve to to “thrive” and not just “survive” the journey of motherhood. She utilizes an eclectic style incorporating CBT, DBT and mindfulness into her work with women. Whether you are trying to conceive, pregnant or taking care of your baby(ies) and children, Jodi asks, “Who is taking care of you?” Treatment options incl. home, office with or without baby, phone, video or walk and talk sessions.

Baby+Mom Fit was created by local mom and trainer who saw a need for a class that accommodates mom and baby! Classes focus on training while wearing baby (so the baby acts as a weighted vest), which enables moms to get in shape, bond with their babies, feel great, and make some new friends.
Feeling overwhelmed, depressed, anxious, guilty, irritable or even numb at a time that is supposed to be “wonderful”? I specialize in working with postpartum anxiety, depression, infertility, pregnancy loss and work/family balance. With over 33 years as a seasoned psychologist, I offer a relaxed, laid-back style that produces real results using a nonjudgmental and caring atmosphere. Clients often comment to me that they are eager to come to therapy and see it as uplifting and healing. Therapy can be a process that is positive, sometimes humorous, and one that frees us to be better and happier people.
Lactation cookies are delicious and healthy cookies that are shown to increase milk supply in breastfeeding women! Because they are a wholesome treat, you can eat as many as you like (within reason), but best results come when you eat 2-3 cookies every day. These cookies are safe for pregnant and breastfeeding women, though good luck keeping the rest of your family away!
