Even though we are still wearing sweaters and winter coats, it’s that time when moms need to start thinking about summer plans. Wait, what!? Any experienced mom knows that to stay sane during summer break, you need to put those kiddos in camp! We understand how frustrating it can be with so many options, so we’ve put together our fifth annual Summer Camp Guide. We hope this guide provides the information you need to plan a fun and stress-free summer. This guide features programming options in Westchester County and surrounding areas. THE CHAPEL SCHOOL SUMMER PROGRAM

Chapel School

The Chapel School (TCS) Summer Program was safely open in 2020, 2021, and 2022 for children ages 3-12, and they are Back & Better for 2023! Aside from being run at a safe, accredited school building and playground, TCS Summer Program offers flexible scheduling for families, wherein they can sign up for one week or all nine weeks, with early drop-off and late pick-up as needed. Care Bear AM Campers (Ages 3-6) enjoy theme-based crafts and activities, along with fun outdoor play, and Care Bear PM Campers can choose from an array of specialized enrichment activities (art, sports, cooking, etc.). Explorer Program Campers (Ages 6-12) can sign up for mornings, afternoons, and full days of STEM, sports, music, drama, and MOR  Lunch is provided for campers who sign up for full days.

CAMP KIPPEWA POINT

Camp Kippewa Point

Camp Kippewa Point is a two-week camp experience for girls ages 6-13! Their warm and nurturing environment offers girls a classic camp experience with a set beginning, middle, and end. Their hybrid approach to scheduling allows Kippewa Point campers to explore everything they have to offer while also giving them a chance to spend extra time doing the activities they are excited to explore. At Kippewa Point, they intentionally work to develop connections between campers. They know that deep and meaningful relationships with camp friends and staff help foster growth, confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging. CLUB FIT

Club Fit campers build friendships while engaging in a multitude of developmentally aligned activities. They have a great indoor-outdoor facility that accommodates inclement weather and those very hot, humid days. The camp schedule includes but is not limited to activities such as soccer, basketball, football, four square, tennis, and arts and crafts. They incorporate fun activities such as inflatables, the gaga pit, tie-dye days, and special theme days to make every day different and exciting. Daily swim will be offered to everyone, and lunch is included for full-day camp!

CAMP SETTOGA

Camp Settoga

Camp Settoga, operated by the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan, is the city’s premier Jewish day camp for kids ages 4–12. Located in the foothills of Harriman State Park, Camp Settoga offers a gorgeous Olympic-sized swimming pool, waterslides, adventure courses/ziplines, art, basketball and tennis courts, soccer, baseball, gymnastics, mini-golf, gardening, and so much more. Bus transportation for campers is provided from drop-off and pick-up points in most Manhattan neighborhoods, so getting there is easy as pie (or roasting marshmallows)! DESTINATION SCIENCE AT IONA BRONXVILLE CAMPUS

Enroll today for the fun science day amp at Destination Science for curious kids ages 5 to 11! Become a robot engineer, explore coaster science, create a biobot, and join the DS space force this summer! Each hands-on science week includes 15 STEM activities and make-and-take projects, three science stations per day, plus games, challenges, silly songs, and all the friendship and fun of camp! Their energetic, professional educators make learning fun!

GRAND PRIX NEW YORK RACING & ENTERTAINMENT

Grand Prix
Register your child for Grand Prix New York Racing & Entertainment’s summer camp on wheels and in the air! By the end of their summer camp, racers will have a better race time than their parents. Their instructors will teach your child the fundamentals behind the wheel on their multi-level racetrack and the art of becoming a ninja warrior on the GPX course. Kids will experience all they offer from racing to bowling and even get some time in their massive arcade. This is a skilled-driven camp, (pun intended) exercising their mind on the racetrack and bodies on the obstacle course. They want campers to leave excited to return and have an unforgettable summer to share with their peers. What’s more, they are weatherproof. No change of clothes needed! 

WOLF CONSERVATION CENTER

Wolf Conservation
Give the animal lover in your family a chance to thrive among wolves all week long! The Wolf Conservation Center’s five-day summer camp includes opportunities for your child to learn about nature and wildlife through woodland exploration, scavenger hunts, wilderness games, live animals, etc. Located in South Salem, NY, the WCC is home to 30+ wolves, including endangered red wolves and Mexican gray wolves. Through wolves, the WCC teaches the broader message of conservation, ecological balance, and personal responsibility for improved human stewardship of our world.

EUGENE'S MUSIC & LEARNING STUDIO

Eugene's Music

Create a pod just for your group, or join a class with new faces at Eugene’s Music & Learning Studio! Preschool is out, and it’s time for their June Intro-to-Orchestra Camp! Join them for art, dance, and music. Your child will spend the week crafting musical instruments, dancing with partners and in groups, and meeting different orchestra instruments. Each week will feature a different theme! Please bring a light snack (crackers, goldfish, water); they will take a short break each day. For children ages 3-6 years (fully potty-trained). Camp runs from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Opportunities to meet private-lesson teachers will be available. Registration is by week! Campers can join for 1 or 2 weeks (Week 1:June 19-23 – $300, Week 2: June 26-30 – $300). Space is limited; please register to secure your spot. If there is a week you’d like to see added, please let them know!

RANDOM FARMS KID'S THEATER

Random Farms
The Random Farms Kids Theater is a not-for-profit organization that puts young people center stage. It is dedicated to creating a safe environment where children of all backgrounds are encouraged to discover the joy of theater within themselves — on and off the stage. Through its programs, students develop an appreciation for arts and music, cultivate leadership and life skills, and build self-esteem. KATONAH ART CENTER - KAC

The Katonah Art Center offers a great alternative to full-day summer-long programs. KAC’s camps are one week long with morning, afternoon, and full-day options. Camps are available for ages 3.5-Grade 12. Their Art and Imagination Camp for ages 3.5-5 is a creative mix of arts and crafts projects, free art pay, story time, outdoor time, and collaborative art. KAC Kid’s Camp for grades 1-5 offers choices such as jewelry, painting, drawing, pottery, and animation. KAC Teen Camps for grades six and up focus intensively on one topic, such as outdoor painting, fused glass, or pottery wheel.

YORKTOWN STAGE

Professionally produced Broadway Musicals! Delighting audiences for 25 seasons and funded solely by its programs, Yorktown Stage mounts three yearly main stage productions featuring a wide variety of first-rate, live, professional theatre, including hit Broadway musicals, revivals of the classics, and children’s musicals. And now Yorktown Stage Kids presents three yearly productions featuring the future stars of theatre with children 6-18 years of age. Voted Best in Family Entertainment! KING SCHOOL

King School
Make this summer a time to discover new skills, explore new subjects, and have fun. Register your child today for Summer Institute (SI) at King, where Kindergarten-Grade 12 are taught in small classes by King’s outstanding teachers and coaches. Middle and high school classes allow students to pursue their academic passions and accelerate their progress in the next academic year. THE HARVEY SCHOOL

The Harvey School

Harvey Summer Camp offers various programs, allowing your children to choose from many options on one sprawling campus featuring open fields, wooded trails, state-of-the-art facilities, an outdoor swimming pool, and an indoor ice rink!

Day Camp for Grades 2-8: Campers will enjoy activities in the arts, sports, science, and theater, as well as games and camp-wide events. The wide variety of offerings allows campers to explore different interests while introducing them to new activities.

Rising 1st Graders and 9th Graders: Campers entering first grade in September can enjoy a program of fun and exploration designed just for them! Young teens entering high school this fall will enjoy a program created to let them have a summer of fun before the rigors of high school begin. Harvey’s youngest and oldest campers will surely enjoy a summer to remember!

Art Camp, Sports Camp: Campers entering Grades 5-8 can take a more in-depth approach to explore their interests in the arts, dance, or sports!

Camps run from June 26 through August 4, 2023, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. They are closed on July 3 & 4.
