A summer at Sprout Westchester Day Camp is the best summer ever! Located in Croton-on-Hudson, campers entering Pre-K – 6th grade have 26 acres to run around, explore, and have fun outdoors!

Our campus offers manicured athletic fields, comfortable indoor air-conditioned spaces, and more. Every area is designed with children in mind, capturing their imagination and exciting their senses. Playgrounds, cooking studios, art rooms, dance studios, and heated pools are just a few of the amenities that make Young Judaea Sprout Westchester such a special place for campers to spend their summer.
A Day In the Life
Sprout Westchester Day Camp is a Full Day Program from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. (with early and aftercare available). Our incredible and age-appropriate site facilitates our dynamic program like no other day camp.
Each week, Sprout Westchester campers will learn about a new value, which becomes the foundation of all camp programming. We provide an extensive range of age-appropriate activities, so each camper gains exposure to many different types of experiences and activities.
Campers are divided into small groups of 15 campers with three counselors based on the grade they are entering in the fall. Groups will participate in six activity periods daily, one of which the campers can choose themselves!
Activity areas include swimming, nature, outdoor adventure, sports, garden with farm-to-table cooking, ceramic, drama, music, martial arts, petting zoo, and Jewish programming. All activities are led by specialists with exceptional professional experience in the area of instruction and are supported by our general counselors.
All Camp Events
Throughout the day and week, there are several opportunities for the entire camp community to join together.
Campers will start and end every day together. Morning and afternoon assembly is a time for camp to sing and dance together, announcements, celebrations, reflections, and more.
Wednesdays and Thursdays are special events days. Each week campers will participate in theme days, dress-up days, and special events (including color war, carnivals, circus, and so much more!).
Every Friday, campers end the week together at Kabbalat Shabbat. This special service is filled with singing, dancing, and saying goodbye to the week.
The Staff
The Sprout Westchester staff is integral in ensuring a safe and happy summer. We ensure that our counselors and camp leaders know each child’s needs to provide supportive and nurturing care for all campers. Throughout all activities, Sprout Westchester keeps a low ratio of counselors to campers to ensure a fun and safe experience.
Each staff member is screened through an extensive application and face-to-face interview process. Every staff applicant will receive a national background check and personal and professional reference checks. Additionally, all staff members participate in our intensive staff training over several weekends before camp begins.
Transportation and Kosher Lunch (included in tuition)
Sprout Westchester provides safe and reliable bus transportation throughout most of Westchester and Riverdale. All of our buses are air-conditioned and have seat belts and car seats for the youngest campers (entering pre-K). Each bus is staffed by a counselor who ensures your child is comfortable and enjoys the ride.
Camp provides a hot Kosher lunch daily, Monday-Friday. Campers and staff of Sprout Westchester Day Camp can expect a daily well-balanced, fresh meal and snack. The Sprout Westchester lunch menu will include a varied (and colorful) menu, including vegetables, plant-based protein, and salad items.

Dates, Tuition, and Registration
Camp is open from June 26 – August 17. Our summer is split into four 2-week sessions. Campers can attend any combination of sessions or the full summer. Each session at camp is $1900, with multi-session and sibling discounts available.
